Second year for us 4 we had another fantastic week stayed in Mallard fishing was excellent the men were happy gave us ladies time to explore. Everything there you need for a recharge of the old batteries so relaxing. We will be back thank you Richard, Elaine and Fiona
Second time in the King Fisher Lodge great accommodation with hot tub. We went for my 60th birthday . Fantastic fishing lake and we both caught some big fish . So calming and stress free amazing wildlife. Richard Elaine and Fiona were lovely. We will be booking again for next year.
Second time to Valley View lakes.
The Lodge was excellent.(Kingfisher).
The fishing was first class.

We stayed in Kingfisher lodge at the end of May for a week to get away and relax. Richard, Elaine and Fiona were most welcoming and even showed us around the other lodges when they were being cleaned. We had an amazing time catching fish from the two lakes and will definitely be booking another stay in the future, as we never even got to sample the hot tub, the fishing was so addictive. Also still on the look-out for those otters that live in the stream at the back.
Found the lodge up to the usual high standard.

Spend my 40th in the kingfisher lodge for a week
Had amazing time. Richard the host along with his daughter made me feel welcome from day 1.
The lodge itself was 9/10 only because I had problems with the tv. Other than that can’t complain it had everything you need.
The grounds are perfect. 10/10. Safe , clean, private, just beautiful.
Did a few days on the lakes and caught loads of good size fish. Loads to do and see around the area
I’ve been all over the world staying in 5star hotels or luxury cabins but this place is heaven I came back a new person. Thank you for having us. See you soon
We found Valley View by chance and booked about 10 days beforehand. What a find. 😁 The Lodge was spotless and had everything you could possibly need including fly screens on all the windows and front door. On waking the first morning all I could hear was the trickling of the stream and birdsong, so beautifully quiet. Fishing was fabulous despite the ‘Monster’ snapping Franks pole, we had an amazing time, fishing by day and relaxing in the hot tub in the evening, the only thing I regret is not taking binoculars to watch the birds, I missed the Kingfisher but watched a pair of woodpeckers from the hot tub one evening.
The grounds were lovely and well kept and Richard and Fiona were amazing and informative hosts, thank you so much for allowing us to stay in this beautiful settting, we will certainly return another time, and will not hesitate to recommend .
Back for the 9th time and as usual the cabin is spotlessly maintained and looked after. Fishing was the best ever although the elusive bigger fish were still hiding out. Managed some good shots of the kingfisher at last! As always a perfect week away from life!! See you again soon.
Just had a fortnight in our favourite kingfisher lodge, lovely fishing and enjoyed the wildlife, hot tub a bonus, peaceful and tranquil cabin has everything you need.

Words can’t describe how lovely And relaxing valley view is.
The WOW factor is a great summary of the whole place.
The Lodge was ultra clean and very well equipped and welcoming. The hot tub was superb with the luxurious views of the surrounding woodlands. Me and my wife had the best fishing we’ve had in years (although she caught more than me which will be rectified next time 😀)
The fish are in excellent condition very nice looking.
We were sorry to leave but we will definitely be regular visitors.

A fantastic setting. So peaceful and tranquil. Accommodation spot on with lovely touches like champagne for New Year. Loved the hot tub. Absolutely no negatives for Valley View.

We have just had lovely weeks stay at this wonderful location .perfect so peaceful and the lodge had every thing you could possibly need. The owners were lovely people and the fishing was great. We will certainly be returning.
This is such a special place! Total peace with lots of wildlife. The fishing has been great - the smaller lake was kinder to us and we caught some good sized carp. Watching the stars at night with no light pollution was a highlight. We fell in love with Appledore and Westward Ho! The local pub the Coach and Horses does lovely food. I would also recommend The Pier House in Westward Ho! for an amazing view and sunset and the food is good too. Mallard Lodge had everything we could have wanted/needed. Thank you to Richard, Elaine and Fiona for the chats and looking after us.
We have had a lovely week. Peace and calm apart from getting excited when catching fish. Cabin was very nice. We've now stopped in two different ones and they've both been clean and well looked after. Thank you to Richard, Elaine and Fiona for making us feel very welcome. We would defiantly recommend to our friends. Best wishes and take care.

What a beautiful place. A surprise weekend and a proposal! A truly wonderful experience and the lodge itself was amazing. Clean and well stocked keeping us comfortable all weekend. The hot tub was a perfect way to relax on a cold evening.
