Just returned and I can truly say we will be returning.our hosts were lovely and everything was perfect and possibly the most peaceful fishing lodge me and my partner have ever stayed in so we decided to stay an extra night.plenty of fish to be caught you won't get bored.we stayed in kingfisher and most of the time had the lake to myself.The lodge itself was clean and had everything we needed.lodge wifi worked fine and seemed to have no problems with calls to family.which for it's location I was shocked.cant wait to return.
Just back from our 4th and Franks 5th stay at Valley view. We had 9 great nights in Mallard where we always stay, feels like home from home to us, it’s so comfortable, and well equipped for all your needs. The fishing was great even though the water levels were down and the hot tub is a must for easing our aches and pains after fishing all day.
The owners, Richard, Elaine and Fiona are lovely people, really helpful and have good knowledge of the area.
Accommodation, fishing, location and hosts were all great. I shall definitely return. A great fishing break. Thanks to Richard, Elaine and Fiona.
We stayed here with two of our boys, celebrating the birthday of one of them. We all really enjoyed our stay... clean, comfortable, peaceful, hot tub...and an abundance of fish! Everyone was happy. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
We had a wonderful restful week staying in Kingfisher, the fishing was great.
Richard. Elaine and Fiona were the perfect hosts always available but never intrusive and the fishing was great.
The lodge was very well equipped and was spotless on arrival and the fishing was great.
The milk provided on arrival was much appreciated following a tiring 7 hour drive and the fishing was great.
The weather was wonderful and at night the silence was deafening and did I mention the fishing was great?
We had a wonderful week staying in Mallard lodge with everything that you could possibly need inside the lodge, a good sized hot tub, BBQ area and great fishing on your doorstep (Carp and Rudd a bite a cast). Owner Richard was helpful and chatty. Location was rural and secluded. A relaxing holiday in the wonderful English countryside.
We stayed in Mallard lodge in March and loved it! We were the only guests there on our first night so had this secluded spot to ourselves. We enjoyed catching masses of fish and the lodge was very comfortable. The owners were super friendly and helpful. We will definitely come again.
Just returned from a few days at Valley View and what a few days it was. Excellent accommodation as usual (this was our third visit) and fantastically hot weather so hot tub was used every day. fishing was unbelievable with over 400 fish caught in three days from the large lake. this has to be one of the best places int he UK for a fishing holiday..

We stayed in Moorhen lodge it was very spacious indoor and out.It was well equipped had everything we needed.The fishing was very good very quiet and peaceful.Various birds to watch on the feeds outside the lodge.Overall a very enjoyable stay topped off by a very large hot tub
Had a fabulous stay. Everything we needed and more! Grandson and partner loved the fishing. Plenty of good sized fish to catch!

First visit and probably not our last! Lodge was very clean and had everything you needed. Peaceful and quiet location - certainly away from it all- yet close enough to interesting places to visit. Hot tub was well used. Lakes well stocked and plenty of fish caught over the week.

First visit, but not my last. Enjoyed the peace and quiet, squirrels running around outside and the various bird life. Fishing was very good. not huge fish but plenty of them. Lodge was well equipped with every thing you may need. Bideford is a pleasnt town, but only ventured out once to stock up on food. Why go out !! Will be back next year.
Our first visit to valleyview and throughly enjoyed the peace and quiet and husband enjoyed the fishing. Lodge was lovely and cosy and hot tub was perfect. Plenty to do in the area and coach and horses in the village was good for evening meal.

We had our first stay here and enjoyed all things there. Fishing was very good even though the weather was cold. caught on corn, pellet and maggot. Lodge was great warm and cosy with everything we needed. The hot tub was well used by the girls. There is lots to do in the area. Recommend the Union pub near by.
Our 2nd time staying at Valleyview and again it did not disappoint. Its the perfect place to just wind down and relax. I'm sure we'll be going back for a 3rd time.
Had a great 10 nights in Heron lodge. Lodge was lovely and clean and spacious, small thing no hairdryer, but got one from ASDA so soon sorted. We were blessed with the weather and the fishing, it is so peaceful great to chill and unwind. I have never seen so many fish and bird watching the feeders was an added bonus. Booked again for next year and can’t wait.
Thank you for a wonderful 4 night stay, the only negatives were that we had to leave! We loved the fishing, exploring the Tark Trail on our bikes and of course the bubbles in the hot tub. We stayed in Heron which was so lovely and spacious. We met Richard who was very welcoming and knowledgeable. Can highly recommend the Coach and Horses for food too, just a few minutes up the road. Now we can't wait to come back x

Had a great 2 weeks at Valley View in Moorhen lodge. The accomodation was spacious and very well equipped with all we needed. The bed was super comfy and the hot tub was superb. The view across the lake was lovely with an abundance of birds. There is a really nice short walk from the site up the valley along the river.
There are lots of places to visit nearby including the Tarka trail for walking and cycling as far as you like. Thanks to Richard, Elaine and Fiona who were awesome, very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area.
