I’ve just returned from valley view lakes and lodges , what a great place to relax in the hot tub and catch some fish right next to the lodge . Valley view is a very special place , I’ve been many times and am never disappointed! Richard , Elaine and Fiona are lovely people who can’t do enough for their guests . I highly recommend this place to everyone I know . Just lovely
We had a very enjoyable break at Valley View Lakes and Lodges ,the place is a haven of peace and quiet ,well off the beaten track ,we had a nightmare finding the place when we arrived ,but once we sussed the three word location we could come and go with no problem .The fishing was very enjoyable we caught numerous carp , mainly ghost and common with one or two mirrors all in the 6-8lb range we saw many much bigger and there’s also some Koi and all within half an hour of various beaches .we are going back next year
What an amazing little haven this is! It’s paradise and a real opportunity to switch off relax and enjoy some quality time out. The lakes are very well stocked wish plenty of beautiful fish. The number of bird species heard are too many to list, The feeders in the balconies encourage birds all day long! The hot-tub are fantastic, clean and very well maintained by Richard.
The location of Valleyview enables you to visit lots of different places of interest during the day to return to peace and tranquillity for the evening.
The lodges are clean and well equipped and Richard, Elaine and Fiona couldn’t be more helpful hosts!
A definite 5star holiday.
We left early according to the weather situation. We all had an excellent stay, lodge very good and brilliant fishing as usual.

Stayed at Valleyview in November 2023 and absolutely lovely, relaxing break for 4 nights. Stunning location and only a stones throw from Bideford where I live. Lodges have everything you need and are spotless and hot tub was great even during the rain. So accommodating and friendly and even took time to greet us and showed around another lodge where all the fish congregate (Kingfisher) Booking another stay soon. Book early to avoid disappointment!
Was so lovely to be back for our much needed short break, after what felt like a lifetime ago. Have been enjoying our ‘girls weekend’ for about 11 years now and love it just as much as our very first visit! Looking forward to staying again soon.

We stayed here around 10 years ago and had the best time and views is amazing, come back for the wife's birthday and yet again had the most beautiful time....
The Lodge was amazing and well equipped with everything you need and also had some milk in the fridge.....Will definitely be back
First time visit for me and my brother and Dad.
We had a fantastic few days fishing and enjoying the lodge with a hot tub.
The lodge had everything we needed for are stay and the owners where very welcoming and helpful a friendly.
The fishing was very good We caught lots of carp. Can't wait to visit again.

This is our first stay at Valley View Lakes & Lodges which we found to be very a relaxing and peaceful holiday, unfortunately the weather was rather changable but nothing we couldn't cope with. Moorhen Lodge had everything that we needed and was very comfortable with the hot tub being an added bonus.
Steve and Meghan enjoyed the totally peaceful fishing location and caught Common & Mirror Carp from both lakes to 11lb along with some nice Roach & Rudd. Steve having fished for over fifty years rates the carp in VVL&L as amongst some of the best conditioned carp hes ever caught and will definately be returning, thanks to Richard, Elaine & Fiona for a wonderful stay.
Second year for us 4 we had another fantastic week stayed in Mallard fishing was excellent the men were happy gave us ladies time to explore. Everything there you need for a recharge of the old batteries so relaxing. We will be back thank you Richard, Elaine and Fiona
Second time in the King Fisher Lodge great accommodation with hot tub. We went for my 60th birthday . Fantastic fishing lake and we both caught some big fish . So calming and stress free amazing wildlife. Richard Elaine and Fiona were lovely. We will be booking again for next year.
